LMP3 Champions Are Back To Defend 2024/25 Title

Bretton Racing is gearing up for another podium challenge

Czech team Bretton Racing will return to the grid of the popular winter endurance racing championship — the Asian Le Mans Series 2025/2026 — in just a few days. Their third participation is set to be the most demanding yet, as the team enters the series as the defending champions in the LMP3 category.

The Prague-based squad has completed an exceptionally intense year. Following its victory in Asia, the team stepped into the Michelin Le Mans Cup with two prototype cars. The best result for car #26 came during the season finale in Portimão, but it was overshadowed by a heavy accident involving car #62, which had been consistently fighting for podium finishes since mid-season. The team’s unfulfilled expectations were balanced by a dominant campaign in the European Sprint Prototype Cup, where they won every race in the second half of the season — both in class and overall — securing yet another championship title this year.

Expectations ahead of the Asian season are therefore high — from drivers, management, and fans alike. The entry list includes a record 48 cars, highlighting the growing prestige of the series. Bretton Racing will compete for the LMP3 title in the category of ten next-generation prototypes powered by Toyota’s six-cylinder turbo engine. Each car will be driven by a three-man line-up. The rest of the grid features the faster LMP2 prototypes and the ever-popular GT3 category.

The confirmed driver line-up reflects the vision with which Tomáš Skočdopole founded Bretton Racing in 2022: “Motorsport is about people, passion, and constantly pushing boundaries. I founded Bretton Racing with the ambition to build a team that is not only competitive, but also fair, friendly, and open to new talent.” True to this mission, the team will once again focus on supporting young drivers rising toward the top ranks of motorsport.

Endurance debuts in prototype racing await Lenny Ried and Lucas Fluxá — representatives of the “second generation of motorsport sons”, with both coming from racing families where fathers and older brothers also compete. They already have experience in single-seaters and a strong background in karting. “I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be racing the Asian Le Mans Series and I’m definitely looking forward to stepping up into endurance racing. Thank you very much to Bretton Racing for this opportunity — let’s go for it,” says an enthusiastic Lucas Fluxá. The 17-year-old Spaniard has been racing since 2017, earning a victory in the Spanish F4 race and the prestigious WSK Final Cup.

Both silver-graded drivers enter their first endurance season with ambitious targets. They have already shown strong pace in testing, and the team expects them to progress with every lap in the new car. The Ried name is already well known in endurance racing, but the youngest talent of this German racing family will surely make his own mark among Czech fans. Lenny Ried first rose to prominence in karting — finishing vice-champion in the German ADAC Masters Cup at the age of 11 and later winning the top OK category in 2022. His two years in formula racing translated immediately into speed during European Le Mans Series testing, where he surprised the field with the second-fastest LMP3 time overall. “I would like to thank Bretton Racing for the opportunity, and I look forward with confidence to achieving great results with our line-up,” Lenny says.

A unique feature of the Asian Le Mans Series is the mandatory bronze-categorized driver. These “gentleman drivers” ensure competitive balance and bring authentic Le Mans spirit to the championship — racing is not their primary profession, yet their goals are just as ambitious. This is certainly the case for Jacek Zielonka, who targets top results and will tackle Asian circuits for the first time: “I'm very excited to join Bretton Racing for the Asian Le Mans Series campaign. I will give my all to the team to fight for the win in every race.” Bronze drivers often play a decisive role in endurance success. Polish driver Zielonka is not new to the team — together, they’ve completed three rounds of the Polish Championship. An experienced racer, he has spent six years competing in Radical machinery and achieved his greatest success last year, finishing second in the LMP3 category of the Ultimate Cup Series.

The team structure will also see changes beyond the driver roster. Dan Skočdopole — who took the championship podium in the 2024/2025 season as a driver — will now step into the role of Team Principal alongside his father Tomáš. “Defending a title is even harder than winning it. The competition will be tougher once again, and that makes the challenge even bigger for us — but it’s one we’re very ready to take on,” says Dan. “The key to success is not only speed, but also consistency — scoring points in all six races. That requires flawless driving and smart team decisions,” adds Team Manager Michaela Dorčíková, who took over the role in July and knows the Asian Le Mans Series closely — this will already be her ninth season in it.
