Leipert Motorsport is preparing for its third season in the Asian Le Mans Series. In the 2026/2027 season, the Wegberg-based team will compete with the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3, carrying race number 63. The driver line-up will consist of Lance Bergstein, Nicolas Stati and Brendon Leitch.
With the Temerario GT3, Leipert Motorsport is also entering a new chapter. The new Lamborghini GT3 will make its debut in an ACO-sanctioned racing series in the Asian Le Mans Series. Once again, the team can count on the full support of Lamborghini Squadra Corse throughout the season.
Behind the wheel, Leipert Motorsport will rely on three drivers who are already very familiar with the team and with whom it has celebrated success in the past.
American driver Lance Bergstein was part of the Leipert Motorsport line-up that won the GTX class at the 24 Hours of Sebring in 2021. Bergstein also brings extensive experience in international GT3 endurance racing, including appearances at the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Nicolas Stati (AUS) and Brendon Leitch (NZL) also share a successful history with Leipert Motorsport. Together, Stati and Leitch won both final races of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season at Misano last year. Leitch also secured the PRO championship title in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with Leipert Motorsport in 2023.
The driver trio therefore brings not only valuable experience with Lamborghini race cars but also a strong understanding of the team's procedures and working methods – an important foundation for the endurance races ahead.
Alongside the announcement of its driver line-up, Leipert Motorsport is also unveiling the livery of the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 #63, which Bergstein, Stati and Leitch will race in the upcoming season.
Team principals Marcel Leipert and Marc Poos are looking forward to the upcoming season: “We are delighted to be returning to the Asian Le Mans Series. Special thanks go to Lamborghini Squadra Corse for their continued trust and for the opportunity to make the Temerario GT3's debut in an ACO-sanctioned racing series together. This is something very special for us and, at the same time, a great source of motivation. Our shared goal is to be competitive from the very beginning and fight for strong results. At the same time, we know that the first race outing of a new generation of race cars is always a significant step. Thanks to our long-standing partnership and combined experience, we are well prepared to overcome any challenges together. We can hardly wait to hit the track with the new Temerario GT3!”
