Arguably the most picturesque race track the Asian Le Mans Series has visited, the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi is not just popular because of its looks. rnrnThe Hermann Tilke designed Yas Marina Circuit is one of the most technologically-advanced tracks in the world. Established in 2009, the track weaves its way around the marina and the eye-catching W Hotel. The track features permanent lightning to allow racing from day, through dusk and into the night &ndash something that features in the Asian Le Mans Series. rnrnAlong the back straight the top speed for the LMP2 cars was close to 300kph.rnrnGrandstands were designed to protect spectators from the harsh desert sun, and the state-of-the-art pit garages are air conditioned. The pit lane exit also passes underneath the circuit.
