Success at Le Mans for Crowdstrike Racing by APR

All ALMS cars make it to the finish line

Reigning LMP2 champions Crowdstrike Racing by APR had a successful 24 Hours of Le Mans, with George Kurtz, Alex Quinn and Lauren Heinrich standing on the top step of the LMP2 Pro/Am podium after completing 358 laps of the 13.6km Circuit De La Sarthe.
 
The no4 Oreca Gibson finished 7th out of the 19 strong LMP2 field and 21st overall, with Alex Quinn bringing the car to the finish line in the very hot weather that had descended on central France.
 
The other ALMS car in the LMP2 category was the no48 RD Limited, the team making it to the finish line on their Le Mans debut.  Fred Poordad, Tristan Vautier and former multiple Le Mans winner and team owner Romain Dumas finished 8th in LMP2 Pro/Am and 16th in LMP2.
 
In LMGT3, reigning ALMS GT Champions Kessel Racing, Dustin Blattner and Dennis Marshall had a good race, and, along with their teammate Lorenzo Patrese, finished 9th in class after completing 334 laps.  The no2 TF Sport Corvette, which was run by Malaysian team JMR, also finished the race, with Prince Jeffri Ibrahim, Lorcan Hanafin and Ben Green finishing in 14th of the 25 LMGT3 starters.
