FP2: ARC Bratislava Fastest on Day 1 in Dubai
Slovakian Team Quickest Ahead of Qualifying

The second and final free practice session of the 4 Hours of Dubai weekend saw the no44 ARC Bratislava set the fastest lap of the day, with Yann Ehrlacher posting a 1m48.418 lap, seven tenths faster than the best time set in FP1.
In fact, three cars went quicker than the benchmark set in FP1 by Alex Quinn, with the no5 United Autosports Oreca of Mikkel Jensen lapping in 1m48.663, 0.245s slower than Ehrlacher and 0.25s faster than the no30 RD Limited Oreca after James Allen’s best lap of 1m48.925.
Double race winners and current championship leaders Cetilar Racing were 4th quickest with a lap of 1m49.425 set by Antonio Fuoco
The no23 23Events Racing Ligier was the quickest of the LMP3 grid for the second time today, but in a slower time from the earlier session. Matteo Quintarelli posted a 1m58.467, just over a second slower than his best lap in FP1.
CLX Motorsport finished the session second fastest with Paul Lanchere posting a 1m58.486 lap, just 0.019s behind Quintarelli. The second 23Events Ligier was third fastest with a 1m58.559, two tenths ahead of the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine in 4th.
The GT field was headed by the no56 Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn Aston Martin Vantage, with a 2m00.627 lap set by Giacomo Petrobelli. Petrobelli’s time was 0.169s ahead of the second GT class car, the no37 QMMF by Getspeed Mercedes-AMG, with Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi setting the fastest time of 2m00.796.
The no9 Getspeed Mercedes-AMG was third fastest, 0.057s slower than their teammates, with Steve Jans posting the 2m00.853 lap. Championship leader Dennis Marschall put the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 in 4th spot with a 2m00.941 lap.
Qualifying will take place tomorrow morning, starting with the 15-minute session for the GT class at 09h40 (local).
