ASIAN LE MANS SERIES HEADS TO THE UAE!

-       Four new entries including two brand new teams to the Asian Le Mans Series.

-       42 entries – 19 prototypes and 23 GTs

-       Series set for grand finale under the lights of the Yas Marina Circuit.

-       Free entry to all races and available to watch live and free around the world.  

After two thrilling races at the Sepang International Circuit, the Asian Le Mans Series moves to the UAE for the remaining three races. First up is Race 3 at the Dubai Autodrome Circuit, followed one week later by the final two rounds of the Series at the Yas Marina Circuit.

New Entries & Driver Changes:

The UAE sees the arrival of two new teams to the Asian Le Mans Series. In LMP3, Australian team GG Classic Cars will debut their Ligier JS P320 with Fraser Ross and George Nakas behind the wheel.  While in the GT class, Dragon Racing have entered a Ferrari 296 GT3. The UAE based team makes their debut in the Series with Rui Andrade, who made his LMP2 debut in the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series – finishing the Championship in 3rd place. He will be joined by Nicola Marinangeli and Marco Pulcini.

There will also be two additional LMP2 entries from existing teams, Nielsen Racing and COOL Racing. The #34 Nielsen Racing LMP2 Oreca 07 will be raced by Blake McDonald, Patrick Liddy and Matt Bell. The #47 COOL Racing LMP2 Oreca 07 will be raced by Alexandre Coigny, Vlad Lomko and Lorenzo Fluxa.

There will also be a number of driver changes. The highly experienced Will Stevens will make his Asian Le Mans Series debut in the #24 Nielsen Racing LMP2 for the 4 Hours of Dubai.

With regular driver Ferdinand Habsburg busy with Hypercar commitments ahead of his FIA WEC season with Alpine later this year, the team has chosen the highly experienced racer to fill his shoes. Habsburg will be back for the final two races of the season at the Yas Marina Circuit.

Talented young drivers Laurin Heinrich (DEU) and Jordan Love (AUS) will both make their Asian Le Mans Series debuts, racing with Herberth Motorsport and Triple Eight respectfully.

How to watch:

The Asian Le Mans Series is one of the most accessible sports series globally, attracting a significant audience. The opening two races of the 2023 / 2024 Asian Le Mans Series, from the Sepang International Circuit, recorded a total Dedicated TV audience of 20.7 million from 849 hours of coverage*. Live broadcasts of all qualifying sessions and the races are available for free around the world via the extensive network of streaming and TV broadcasters. It is also available on the Asian Le Mans Series YouTube and Facebook pages.  The races will also be streamed on multiple Chinese platforms with Chinese commentary. Post-race, there will be a tv highlights package that will be broadcast globally.

Tickets – Free of charge: Every round of the 2023 / 2024 Asian Le Mans Series will be available free of charge for all spectators making it truly accessible. For the races in the UAE, spectators must register with the circuit before they arrive. Both venues will provide excellent viewing opportunities and a variety of catering options.

Spectators will have free access to the main grandstand opposite the pits, as well as the Apex Garden. The Apex Garden is a family friendly grassed area with trackside viewing, food trucks, kids activities and a giant screen.

By registering for free entry into the Asian Le Mans Series races at the Yas Marina Circuit, spectators will also receive a YAS Motorsport Season Pass. This pass will also give them access to many of Yas Marina Circuit’s motorsport events. They will have access to the Public Lounge which has indoor & grandstand seating above the pitlane, and access to the YAS Fan Zone that is setup close to the water, overlooking the W Hotel. The perfect place to take a break from the on-track action, with food trucks, games and music.
