10 Days Until Record Breaking Asian Le Mans Series Starts!
Provisional list of 36 entries with exciting driver line-up confirmed!
Ten days before the first race of the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series, the provisional entry list has been released. The grid will be made up of 17 prototypes (7 LMP2 and 10 LMP3), and 19 GT3 entries which should deliver intense battles throughout the grid.
Drivers:
Not only will there be a record-breaking grid, but the drive line up will also be world class.
The premier class, LMP2 will see drivers with experience in racing at an elite level including Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship. The Class will also see some very exciting young drivers make the step up to the Class.
In LMP3 the battle will be fought out between drivers with extensive experience including past Championship winners, those with many seasons under their belts, amateur drivers and young drivers still in early stages of their motorsport careers.
The 19 car GT field will be a battle between six of the biggest manufactures in GT racing. This battle will be fierce with an impressive line-up of factory drivers taking part in the battle for Championship glory and the much sort after invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A global grid:
The 2021 Asian Le Mans Series grid will be a truly global one with teams from at least 15 different countries and drivers with 26 different nationalities entered.

A Different Schedule:
The 2021 Asian Le Mans Series will be held, for the first time, in its entirety in the UAE. In a very compact schedule, all four races will be held in just over a week. The season will start with two races held at the Dubai Autodrome on the 13th and 14th of February, with the final two races to be held in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit on the 19th and 20th of February.

Once again, the Asian Le Mans Series will be live streamed across all its platforms including on its website, YouTube channel and Facebook page. Full details of the broadcast will be released shortly.
Class structure:
The Class structure of the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series will feature a mix of both prototype and GT cars that is synonymous with Le Mans racing. There will be three classes: LMP2, LMP3, and GT. There will also be dedicated LMP2 Am and GT Am classifications.
For the 2021 season there will be a change to the cars eligible in both LMP2 Am and LMP3 categories. Only the latest generation LMP2 cars will be eligible to race in both the outright and Am Trophy class. The new season will see the arrival of the latest generation LMP3 machines. Four manufacturers were selected by the ACO take the class forward: Ligier, Duqueine Engineering, and Ginetta will be represented on the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series grid.
