LMP2
Oreca 07 - Gibson

Based in Leeds, United Autosports is one of the most successful endurance racing teams on the international stage. Co-owned by Richard Dean and Zak Brown, the outfit has competed in both sprint and endurance GT and prototype racing, succeeding at everything they embark upon.

The British outfit first competed in the Asian Le Mans Series during the 2018/2019 season with a total of four entries, one in both LMP2 and LMP2 Am, with two in LMP3. Success for Paul di Resta and Phil Hanson behind the wheel of a Ligier JS P2 in LMP2 saw the pair score second place in Shanghai, pole and second in Fuji, victory in Buriram and second in Sepang to go on to win the championship and an entry to the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Guy Cosmo, Patrick Byrne and Salih Yoluc finished second in LMP2 Am after taking the win at the opening event in China, followed by pole and second at the 4 Hours of Fuji and third at the penultimate round of the season.

Triumph continued with second overall in LMP3 for Chris Buncombe, Garrett Grist and Wayne Boyd with two pole positions and a finish on the podium at three of the four rounds, including a victory in Buriram. The second LMP3 entry finished fourth in class.

United Autosports’ success continued to grow in 2020. The team won the World Endurance Championship LMP2 class, finished first and second in LMP2 in the European Le Mans Series, along with first in LMP3. A class win in LMP2 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans was the cherry on top!

For the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series, the team entered three Ligier JS P320s in the LMP3 Class and took class honours, second and fourth in an impressive and dominant effort.

The team returned in 2022 with an LMP2 entry for the two races at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, with young gun Josh Pierson and Paul di Resta behind the wheel. Despite being ineligible for points, the pair took the chequered flag in both races, following an outstanding effort by Pierson.

United Autosports joined the Series in 2023 with two Oreca 07 in LMP2 and finished 7th and 8th in class.

Back for 2025/2026 the team will once again enter two into LMP2 and one McLaren 720S GT3 in GT
